We are almost in 2017, but we’re still living in a world where gender equality is an aspiration, rather than a reality. The continued existence of gender inequality is certainly evident in the boardrooms of powerful businesses.


Recent research into Fortune 500 businesses reveals that there is a definite representation problem at executive and board levels. Women are in the minority in each of top 10 Fortune 500 companies. This infographic from illustrates this disparity and suggests that world renowned enterprises, such as AppleWalmart and Ford, are perhaps not as progressive as they would have us believe.
