Successful People: Working Less and Getting More Done [Infographic]

Spending more of your time working doesn’t always mean you’ll be successful. The key to being one of the successful people is not working more, but working less and working smarter.

Accomplishing your professional dreams and having time for fun, family, and friends can seem like an impossibility. A 2015 CNN survey showed that Americans who were employed full time worked an average of 47 hours per week. That is one of the highest averages in the world.

More and more people are realizing that you don’t have to work 40 plus hours to be successful. Working more can actually decrease productivity. In fact, you can work less than you ever have and get more accomplished. All it takes is discipline, a routine, a few life hacks, and a commitment to your vision.

If you want to be one of the successful people that get more done but work less, take some time to learn from these 7 practices.

There’s a more human way to do business.

In the Social Age, it’s how we engage with customers, collaborators and strategic partners that matters; it’s how we create workplace optimism that sets us apart; it’s how we recruit, retain (and repel) employees that becomes our differentiator. This isn’t a “people first, profits second” movement, but a “profits as a direct result of putting people first” movement.
